Cat on chalkboardText Box: Parents/ Guardians, The main objective of the Jamesburg PTA is to promote the welfare and enhance the educational experience of the children in our community. We accomplish this by sponsoring several fundraising events throughout the school year, such as Book Fairs, Holiday Shops, and Plant Sales. We also assist Administration with school functions and activities throughout the year. The PTA provides an opportunity for you to get involved in your child’s education. Parent volunteers help provide needed service during the school year. With the recent budget issues the Jamesburg Board of Education was forced to make cuts in several areas of our children’s school experience, such as funding for class trips and all after school activities. This presents new challenges for our PTA, as well as PTA’s around the state, so we now need parents support more than ever!!!! In the past, the Jamesburg PTA has provided the funding for transportation for class trips that are scheduled during the year, this may be one activity we could return to our children, BUT ONLY IF WE ALL WORK TOGETHER!!! OUR FUNDRAISERS ARE OUR ONLY SOURCE OF INCOME, SO IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT THEY ARE SUPPORTED BY EACH AND EVERY STUDENT! The Executive Board welcomes any input or suggestions you may have.
